Menlo CA won its first Division 4 girls title in program history at the CIF Central Coast Section Championships at Toro Park in Salinas, Calif. Menlo prevailed over San Lorenzo Valley by a 76-84 margin to secure the crown after placing second last year. Charlotte Tomkinson led the Knights by placing sixth in 19:16.1, Kyra Pretre took seventh in 19:25.9, Marisa Castagna finished 20th in 20:45.2 and Sophia Gallo was 21st in 20:45.9, Stella El-Fishawy secured 27th in 21:18.3, Maddie Sanders clocked 21:45.1 for 31st and Katie Aufricht earned 33rd in 21:55.1 for Menlo, which returns all seven athletes next season.
